personna therapy

The word “personna” comes from the term the ancient Greeks used to describe the masks used in classical Greek theatre

Each actor employed a different mask depending on which character he/ she was playing.

Personality is a derivative of the word “personna”

In personna therapy we identify which “masks” the client wears in which life situation

Personnae are not innate, they develop in response to unique situations as we grow through life, the principle paths to development being through play and struggle

Most “masks” get along fine in their own environment. However when there is conflict and the inappropriate “mask” slips into place, maladaptation can become a problem

In identifying the principle personna, a client then has choice in rewriting the ‘life play’
